Hail the Mighty 2008 Boston Red Sox season. 2,000 people were waiting in line for tickets this morning. Unfortunately, this photo, captured on my way to work, doesn't do that any justice at all. But what the heck -- happy opening day!

Yep...and MY boy/man Dewey Evans was the receiver of that first pitch. They were/and still are great friends, and frankly, Dewey wore #24 SO MUCH BETTER than Manny does...he sure did fill it out nicely!!! ;) That's what Ken's Mom used to say, and she was in her 80's then!!! I loved it!
Made me tear up watching it all...but was LOVING it when Paps came out to the Drop Kick Murphys tune. How fitting was that!!!???!!!
